Project Financed Emission 

Emissions tied to projects financed via specific-purpose vehicles (SPVs) or direct financing arrangements (e.g., energy plants, infrastructure). 

  • Linked to large infrastructure or industrial projects 
  • 100% of emissions attributed if financed via SPV 
  • Covers lifecycle phases: Build → Operate → Decommission 

2. Information Required 

A. Customer Information 

Fill in the following fields: 

  • Customer name: Search and select an existing customer you added as a business customer. This will auto populate the address, SYNE ID, Customer type, email, phone, and address details as saved in the Business Customer 
  • Business Industry: Select from 24 industries available in Syne’s library. 
  • Industry Sub-Sector: Select based on the pre-configured business account setup. 
  • Customer ID: Enter manually. This should be coming from the source systems post integration. eg. Core Banking System.

B. Project Information 

Applicable mostly for Business Customers

  • Start and End date: Select the dates 
  • Project ID and Name: Enter appropriately 
  • Outstanding Investment, Total Debt and Total Equity: Enter values 
  • Project Location: select by typing 3 letters of your location 
  • Project Description: Brief description about your project 

C. Equity Information 

Capture equity information: 

  • Currency:  select the currency applicable 
  • Has Equity: True/ False 
  • Project Equity Shares Owned & Total Project Equity Shares: enter values 

D. ESG Emissions Data 

Capture emissions data related to the business: 

  • Scope 1 Emissions (Direct emissions) 
  • Scope 2 Emissions (Indirect emissions from purchased energy) 
  • Scope 3 Emissions (All other indirect emissions) 
  • Total Emissions: Automatically calculated as the sum of Scope 1, 2, and 3. 

 
Finally, click “Create” to save the entry. This action will also automatically calculate and populate the Total FI Exposure, Total Project Financing, Attribution Factor, and the Financed Emission for the Financed Project.
