Business Loans

To add a Business Loan, a business customer should be added as a first step. For this select the Business customer button on the right corner in the application.

You can Add a customer from the available global list or you can add them as business customer 

Business Loan 

Emissions from loans provided to businesses, including term loans, working capital loans, and revolving credit,

  • Based on borrower’s operational emissions 
  • Attribution by share of capital exposure 
  • Borrower emissions, balance sheet financials. 

A. Customer Information 

Fill in the following fields: 

  • Customer name: Search and select an existing customer you added as a business customer. This will auto populate the address, SYNE ID, Customer type, email, phone, and address details as saved in the Business Customer 
  • Business Industry: Select from 24 industries available from the list.
  • Industry Sub-Sector: Select based on the Industry subv-sector details from the list.
  • Customer ID: Enter manually. This should be coming from the source systems post integration. eg. Core Banking System.

B. Company Information 

  • Company Type: Select Listed or Unlisted (Mandatory). 
  • If Listed
  • Stock Exchange Country: Select the country 
  • Stock Exchange: the selected countries stock exchanges will be listed automatically, select the one applicable 
  • Stock Ticker: Enter Stock Ticker (e.g., AMEX). 
  • Ordinary Shares and Preference Shares: Enter numbers. 
  • Date: The date it is listed 
  • You can enter multiple stock exchanges depending on where it is listed. 
  • FI Investment Details
  • Is Financial Institution Invested: Yes/No. 
  • If Yes, enter Share Count

C. Business Financials (Balance Sheet Info) 

Capture financial information: 

  • Lines of Credit, Revolving Credits, Overdrafts, Secured Loans, Bridge Loans, Letter of Credit: Enter the respective amounts. 
  • Total Debt: Automatically calculated from the sum of all loan fields. 
  • Cash and Equity & Total Equity: Enter the values 
  • Important
    If Total Equity is negative, the system automatically sets it to zero, attributing all emissions only to debt. 

D. Loan Information 

Capture loan-specific details: 

  • Asset Class: Default to Business Loan
  • Asset Type: Auto-selected as Business (Listed) or Business (Unlisted) based on Company Type. 
  • Loan Application ID: (Optional). 
  • Outstanding Loan Amount: Enter value. 
  • Loan Start Date and End Date: Enter dates. 
  • Loan Period: Auto calculated as per the dates 
  • Data Type : Estimate (auto populated) 
  • Attachments: Upload supporting documents if available. 

E. ESG Emissions Data 

Capture emissions data related to the business: 

  • Scope 1 Emissions (Direct emissions) 
  • Scope 2 Emissions (Indirect emissions from purchased energy) 
  • Scope 3 Emissions (All other indirect emissions) 
  • Total Emissions: Automatically calculated as the sum of Scope 1, 2, and 3. 

 
Finally, click “Create” to save the entry. This action will also automatically calculate and populate the Enterprise Value and Financed Emissions for the Business Loan.
